Musical according to Emil Zola’s novel

Milan Uhde and Miloš Štědroň, the well-known couple of authors, are coming up with their original Czech work written directly for the musical stage of the City Theatre Brno. The famous novel Nana written by Emil Zola, the leading representative of French naturalism, served as a model to the new musical. Zola’s Nana was published for the first time in 1880 and brought a rough portrait of Parisian society. It is a story of a girl coming from the scum of the earth who managed to climb up the highest society through rich and successful men. Nana, a variety star and Parisian prostitute, will show you round the Paris of legendary years, the Paris of lustre and poverty, joy, sin and forgiveness.
